Through its huge market share as a payer, the federal government is forcing drastic change in the long-standing business structures of American health care.  All providers are at risk of government action under the wide array of civil and criminal laws that government agencies have at their disposal.  In every aspect of the industry, business transactions must be assessed for compliance with those laws.  That is another core service this practice offers to its clients.

Health care entities, particularly new ventures, face the huge task of creating HIPAA-compliant information systems, as well as operational and employment policies to make them work.  In cooperation with technical information system professionals, Mr. Kaser has advised on that task.

Every well-run organization that receives federal money is concerned about its compliance with the many laws that affect it.  Mr. Kaser has consulted on, and drafted, corporate compliance plans, including plans for small medical practices, an especially challenging task.
